Have you heard of the Gut-Brain Axis?It is the bi-directional communication system between the central and enteric nervous systems. Meaning that your gut and your brain are in constant communication with one another! Have you ever been nervous and experienced "butterflies" in your stomach? Or you've had a "gut feeling" that something just wasn't right? Well, they're more than just common sayings, they are actually backed by science and research. Stress management and learning how to breathe properly are major components when it comes to digestive disorders and symptom management. And we can see why- the gut and brain are talking to each other, and they talk about the good, the bad and the ugly! You can be assured that if we work together from a nutritional stand point it is very likely we will dive into these modalities as well. But yoga is not just good for the gut. It's good for building bone and muscle strength, increasing mobility, improving stability, reducing stress and so much more. |

"I have taken Nikki's yoga classes for over 4 years. She thoughtfully plans each student centered session to benefit the participants, physically, emotionally, and psychologically. Nikki always demonstrates compassion, knowledge, and patience in everything she does. I have been very fortunate to know and work with Nikki."

"Nikki is not only a highly skilled practitioner but she has incredible empathy and awareness. She meets every person where they are in their physical and emotional journey with encouragement and without judgment. She connects poses with the importance of adapting to the ebbs and flows of life in real time. Nikki has helped me to reconnect with my body, strength, breath, and self, after breast cancer left me feeling like a husk of a person."
--Candace A.
"Nikki has a very special soul, and her spirit is committed to teaching and serving everyone around her. Nikki's style of teaching is inclusive, warm, and welcoming. No student feels unseen in Nikki's classes, and Nikki will accommodate any and every request to the best of her ability. To put a portion of your health and well-being in Nikki's basket is to do yourself a massive self-care favor that you will never regret."

"When I began my yoga journey post cancer (I had a double mastectomy in 2018) I knew there were poses my body didn't want to do. No matter how long I practiced things pulled and pushed in the wrong direction. I began to feel deflated instead of energized by my time on the yoga mat. Then I spoke to Nikki and she explained that due to my new surgical structure things may not move or work like others, but that I should not feel sad or deflated, that together we would find ways to make each pose work. Nikki became a ray of light - and I was so grateful. She worked with me for almost a year, showing me ways to alter poses, find comfort and peace and comfort in movement again, and to believe in my instincts on the mat. If something didn't feel right I did not have to feel ashamed or do the pose the same way others did. She reminded me yoga is a personal journey. It is time spent between you, the mat, your inner self, and your story. I am forever grateful to Nikki for helping me find my way onto my mat again and for being so kind and compassionate every step of the way. She is a remarkable human and a fabulous yoga instructor."
